History

It all started in 1993, when we were still RM Engenharia (RM Engineering), focused on civil construction and on the development and assessment of projects in the engineering area.

From 1999, with the privatization of the telecommunication sector, the company started to act in this area through a partnership with the Oi/Telemar Group. We started the operations in Ceará, providing maintenance services and implantation of the external network in part of the plant of the public and landline telephone services.

In 2000, we increased the geographical coverage to the states of Maranhão and Piauí, expanding in the following years to Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba and Alagoas. With the incorporation of services of broadband and Fiber Optics in the coverage area, in 2006, we assumed the external plant of the states of Pernambuco and Piauí.

In May 2008, the company diversified its activities and started to act in the electricity sector. In the end of the same year, we also promoted a social restructuring creating a holding – RM Solutions in Infrastructure, which its operational arms as RM Telecom and RM Energy.

In 2009, RM started to perform operations at Telecom in the states of Amazonas and Roraima. It also expanded the Energy business, increasing the partnership with Companhia Energética do Ceará (Coelce) – Electricity Company of Ceará, providing preventive maintenance services and emergency services of the electrical networks.

In March 2010, the company started to provide External Plant services (access network and voice, broadband, data communication and fiber optics) to the Oi Company in the states of Amapá, Pará, Sergipe, Bahia, Paraná, Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul.

Today, RM portrays itself as one of the biggest service providers in the country. It operates in 16 Brazilian states, it has about 10 thousand associates and seeks to do what it knows best: provide solutions, with Quality and Security, in service providing to Telecom and Energy clients.
