Started in the middle of 2008, with the creation of RM Energy, the Energy Business was one of the most promising businesses of the company.

The performance in this area started with a contract to provide service with the Companhia Energética do Ceará (Coelce), in the scope of the program Luz para Todos (Light for All), which consisted, basically, in the installation of electrical networks in the rural zone of the North region of Ceará.

In August 2009, RM Energy won an international tender, together with Coelce, to provide more complex services to more counties and consumers.

With this new contract, RM Energy took over responsibility for the preventive and emergency maintenance of an area that includes 52 counties of Ceará and a collective database of more than 400 thousand clients.

It is also RM’s future plans to invest in the area of electricity, more specifically in the generation segment, specially originated from renewable sources.
